Best of the Midwest Awards and First Tuesdays

Rockit Bar & Grill was definitely the spot to be last week. Casting directors, agents, actors, producers, cinematographers all came out to be a part of the festivities surrounding the awards of the best films made in the Midwest.

Awards were given out for Best Actor, Actress, Director, Short, Feature, Editing, Cinematography, Screenplay and Music Video.  For the details on winners, check out the First Tuesdays website at midwestfilm.com

Mike McNamara has created a film festival to be proud of! First Tuesdays, held the first Tuesday of every month at the Landmark Theater. Oftentimes several tickets are given away to various groups, but frequently the event is sold out, so be sure to get your ticket online. You will have an opportunity to not only watch some of the best films made in the midwest, but also mingle with the actors & directors, have a cocktail while you are watching & then go to a great after party! Mac gets a great line up of speakers at each event, from producers to distributors, it is a great investment in the local film economy, and an enlightening &  fun way to spend a Tuesday evening!
